"Seeing the modern world with his head tilted slightly to one side Trevor Brown's vision is one in which reality & the imaginary are woven into a single dreamscape. His eyes have never really left rural Tyrone & the family farm on which he developed his love for nature.

The portraits of noble individuals & his depictions of rural life are steeped in folklore. The paintings are influenced by personal & collective memory, the eccentricities of spinster aunts, bachelor farmers, the farm animals imbued with human characteristics & the clash between church & rural practices often having their foundations rooted in a pagan past." Summer 2010

Trevor's had a surprise visitor recently, Christopher Biggins popped into the studio to have a look at the work. Christopher was a resident in Belfast for the run of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. A photo of Christopher in the studio can be found below.

Work continues on various project and commissions, in Image 2 you can view a preparatory water colour for a proposed painting inspired by Oscar Wildes short story "The Happy Prince".
